WELCOME

to the Great Exmoor Ride!

The GER is a challenging 66-mile recreational bike ride from Taunton to Blue Anchor on the West Somerset coast - a real city-to-coast cycling adventure through quiet Somerset lanes and, of course, the splendour of Exmoor.

The 2023 edition of the GER was another big success where the combination of a spectacular & challenging route, lots of amazing support, and a whole bunch of lovely people on bikes all added up to yet another fabulous cycling day out.

There are some really spectacular sights & views to enjoy along the way and it was clear from riders' reactions at the finish line in 2023 that they felt a huge sense of achievement at having conquered the significant challenge that this hilly route presents.

So plans are now underway for more of the same at what will be the EIGHTH outing for the GER in 2024, and we're really looking forward to another great occasion - the aim is to make it as fun & as enjoyable as possible for everyone who rises to the challenge, and entry is OPEN so just click HERE if you'd like to go straight to the online entry page.

Or, if you'd like to know more about the GER, please just explore the website - it should tell you all you need to know before you take the plunge!

It's been described as "an absolutely stunning ride" and comes highly recommended by previous participants, and we'd encourage everyone to read our Rider Comments page for a riders'-eye view of the event.

And please feel free to JOIN OUR MAILING LIST to be kept up-to-date with all the latest news & information about the Ride.
